Interested in seeing Dame Edna? Barry Humphries - Back with a Vengeance To celebrate Dame Edna’s fifty years on the stage, and, coincidentally, his own theatrical jubilee, Barry Humphries will present a new show at the Lyric Theatre for a limited season. Back with a Vengeance will feature some of Barry’s favourite creations including Dame Edna Everage, Sandy Stone and Les Patterson, in a show specially written and performed for Australian audiences. In the last seven years Barry Humphries has been presenting shows in the United States of America, both on Broadway and on national tours the length and breadth of North America, where he has won a Tony Award as well as many other theatrical honours. None of this could have been anticipated when he began his career as an actor on the campus of Melbourne University in 1955. His work has broadened, but also deepened, and it is with great pride he returns to Australia to celebrate the climax of a long career with what critics are calling his best show ever! Quite a subdued evening at Tenarse this evening with a total of 6 players taking to the court and 1 observer who arrived later in the match.

A warm welcome to Ruth who joined us this evening (Marcus’ cuz) and who managed to score her first points in the fabulous competition.

$4.00 acknowledged from Ruth.

This will be the last time the scores will be shown prior to our Tennis BBQ (this way people will be held in their suspenders pending the placing announcements and awards.

With Pride month in June, it has been suggested that the tennis BBQ to end the first half of the season should be held on Sunday JULY 15

Quiet nite on the court this evening with Mikey, Adam W, Eddie, Adam R, Bing and Marcus taking to the court (for the information of Treasurer – no funds were collected).

A round of doubles and then a couple of singles and it was goodnight Irene!

Well what started out being a quiet nite with only 5 players taking to the Court has ended up being worse then a shiatsu on a stick!

Drama in the Camp as we now have a change in the top 3 bitches running for the coveted 2^nd season award – yes my friends our Illustrious Mark (I am so Treasury) has been knocked off his first pole by Marcus who has been quietly cuming up the rear and now taking the head, closely followed on his behind by Mdme Bing our wonderful sexretary and a very close 3some is Mark Treasury.

This will not sit well with Ross (who arrived in the attire of one of the All-Bleks tonight), as the barks have it that if Mark does not win, then Ross goes without – and we aint talking going without the adoption of their soon to be arrival either! Although perhaps we are talking about another doggie – but then that’s another story.

Mdme Chair, the ever Kewl Frostydog, was on heat all night and didn’t stop sweating it out and Kewl Kalm and Kollected (KKK) Adam was, as usual as kewl as a Taringian can be.

Marcus found the side line all night much to his like and became a bone in Frostydog’s backside (so to speak), whilst Sunny Bing preferred to see how many balls he could keep out of the court for the night (closely followed by Adam).

The nite started with singles, ended with doubles and (for the benefit of Treasury Mark), $8.00 richer with payment being received from Adam R)

We look forward to your company next week.

A gay was frantically driving down the street in a panic because he had an important meeting and couldn't find a parking place. Looking up toward heaven, he said "Lord, take pity on me.
